Counselling aims to help people deal with and overcome issues that are causing emotional and psychological pain and distress. The impact of these difficulties can be significant in the short term and long term if not addressed. Thus impacting the individual’s ability to relate to themselves, others and the world we live in.
Hypnotherapy is not what is often portrayed on TV programmes or the theatre, where a person is influenced to cluck like a chicken, bark like a dog, or to do something else that will embarrass them in some way.
Wellbeing is a state in which every individual realises his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully.
